Adding movement to story-time engages children:
For the children that love to move it helps them get exposure to stories.
For the children that love stories but are hesitant to move, it motivates them to try new ways of moving their body.
Movement Story-time is a great way to get children outside. On a cold day they are moving and staying warm.
I include movements that help develop children’s motor coordination, sensory processing, and that help in integrating reflexes.
It is an open door to start imaginative play.
