Tree Rings And Other Things

I’ve developed a hands on curriculum to teach pre-writing shapes. I’m so excited to share it with you! It has been fun to be with pre-schoolers in a nature setting and work on pre-writing shapes.

“Tree Rings And Other Things” uses a move, touch, draw approach. Children move their body to make the shape. Then they touch a nature object to feel the shape. And then they draw the shape.

Included with the ebook are 5 digital files of movement songs. I had so much fun writing the 4 original songs with my husband Luke, who is an elementary music teacher. The songs are a fun way for children to move like the shape and build motor coordination.

Also the ebook includes 9 cutting projects. The lines that they kids cut on are designed to be extra wide for ease of cutting on the line. There is also a picture book suggestion for each lesson. I love including picture books with activities for children.
